AC running but blowing warm air? Here's why — and what it costs

Few things are worse than an AC that's on but not cooling in the Florida heat. Usually it's one of a handful of causes — some you can check yourself in five minutes, some that need a pro. Here's how to tell.

The most common causes (in order)

Check these yourself first (5 minutes)

If it's iced over: turn cooling OFF and the fan ON to melt it, then replace the filter. A frozen coil is a common reason for warm air. If it re-freezes, it needs a pro.
